This card features aluminum foil that was embossed using the Houndstooth Embossing Folder. It creates a great look and easy to do. I used a piece of cardstock, wrapped the aluminum foil around it, and secured it with some Tombo Glue. Someone told me they had seen aluminum foil embossing done at a stamping event (not Stampin' Up!) and they used 9 layers of foil to get the thickness needed. Seems to me that wrapping it around a piece of cardstock is easier. The winged background image is stamped with Smoky Slate ink and the "1" image is embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. I made this a congratulations card but there is a round Happy Birthday stamp in the Blue Ribbon stamp set and some people in class used that. This makes a great masculine card.

Just got off the phone with my mom. Her birthday is next week (she will be 92!) and she got a new cat for her birthday. She has wanted another cat for quite some time. So welcome to the family Katie.
