Part of the Paper Pumpkin fun is the element of surprise each month. I love opening up the box to see what's inside. This past month the kit was a calendar along with a little easel to hold the different months pages.  While I almost always love what each kit is, sometimes it isn't quite what I like or if it's a kit of 8 cards I might not want 8 of those same cards. Happy 2016!

Happy New Year to you all.  For a long time I had heard that when you get older the years just fly by. That is so true. I can hardly believe we are into a new year already.

One of my most popular classes each year is the CD Calendar. So here is the page for January. I will share the other pages at a later time.

I also wanted to share a few of our family Christmas photos. We had a wonderful dinner and then opened presents for what seemed like hours. I know some people open their presents all at the same time but we have always opened gifts one at a time so that everyone can see what's inside the package. It does take a bit longer to do it this way but it's so much fun.

I have had a few weeks off from stamping and am ready to get back to making cards again. How about you? Weekly Deals and Upcoming Extravaganza

Stampin' Up restructured the way events are done due to to the global markets. I have always gone to convention in Salt Lake City in July. The name of this event has been changed to On Stage and will rotate between Europe, North America and Australia/New Zealand being held in November and April. This past weekend was the first of the new On Stage events. On Stage Live which is the big event was held in Brussels. I could have gone to Brussels but I don't think I could handle the plane trip. While that was going on there were On Stage Local events in six cities in North America and two in Australia/New Zealand. We were fortunate that Tampa was one of the cities so I went along with about 400 other demonstrators. We had so much fun with demonstrations, some make & takes, prize patrol, presents, swapping and more. They unveiled the upcoming Occasions catalog which will be out in January and the Sale-a-Bration brochure. We aren't allowed to show it yet but let me just say there are some absolutely wonderful new products and stamp sets.

IMG_6969We stayed right next to the convention center on the RIverwalk which was so nice. There were many runners and cyclists and I just had to snap this photo of a bike repair stop for people to use at no charge. The tools were all attached with cables so that they couldn't be taken and there was air available for flat tires. What a really cool idea.

Christmas Card Class Fun

This is a pretty busy time of the year for me with quite a few special card classes. I had two classes using the Shaker Card Kit several weeks ago and this week was my annual Christmas Card Stamp a Stack. I had two classes for this where they made 16 cards, 4 cards each of 4 different designs. I said my house looked like a craft store because my mantle is decorated with fall things and orange lights and I put a out a Christmas refreshment table with all Christmas things. It was festive to say the least.
