Today’s card is my version of the scrappy strip technique . It is a fun way to use up bits and pieces of paper. I love this Beautiful Autumn bundle because it includes the 3 little punches (see below).
I embossed the Mint Macaron cardstock before cutting it into strips. Then you just cut angled strips of that and the DSP and alternate it with the 1/4″ strips of copper foil. I used a mat of Mint Macaron cardstock and put down 4 rows of adhesive and then attached the strips to that. Cut your strips a little longer than you need and when finished just trim the excess away. I attached this completed piece to a mat of copper foil. Punch out some leaves from the foil before attaching it since it will be covered. The sentiment is embossed with copper embossing powder (sadly, it has retired). The leaves are Mango Melody cardstock stamped with Cajun Craze ink and Merry Merlot cardstock stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink. The acorn is Crumb Cake stamped with Soft Suede ink. There is also a leaf punched out with copper foil paper.
That is a beautiful card🥰. What a fun way to use up scraps. That would be a good work shop – if we ever get back to hands on😳. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
I had fun making the scrappy card and plan on doing more of them. Hopefully we can stamp together again soon.
