Stamp & Scrap Creative Escape

This past Saturday was my friend and fellow demonstrator, Sandy Mitchell, and my 3rd all day retreat. Our Winter Wonderland theme focused entirely on the holiday catalog. After months of planning and preparing it was a fun day with 6 make & takes, demonstrations by our upline, Catherine Harwood, door prizes and table gifts throughout the day, a photo booth, games, and plenty of food.

Our goodie bags had $25 of Stampin’ Up product including samplers of some of the holiday suites, their make & take packets, and a package of the holiday rhinestones. Sandy made the centerpiece for each table which had an LED candle in the middle which had the trees from Winter Woods heat embossed on them. The winner at each table for one of our games got the centerpiece.

We had 7 display boards with plenty of samples.

The photo booth is always fun.

Something new added to this retreat was our silent auction of home decor items. We weren’t too sure how it would go and so happy when it turned out to be a big hit with some bidding wars going on.

This was my first time making a curly paper wreath and I was quite pleased with how it turned out.

This beautiful wreath made by Sandy took a lot of die cutting to make.

The flowers on the lantern are on magnets and can easily be changed to other flowers for different seasons.

Catherine and I at the name tag table right before we opened the doors.

Sandy and Santa at the candy bar.

Lunch was yummy chicken salad on croissants, deviled eggs, chips, pickles, and 3 different desserts. No one left hungry that day. My daughter, Lynn Ann, was our caterer for the day.

One of the make & takes using the Elfie stamp set.

We did have all of the die cutting done for the make & takes which made them much easier and quicker to complete.

The Holiday Helper is made using a white folder with pockets. Each side is then scored and folded. I made the  lists inserts which you can download below.

I don’t have photos of Sandy’s make and takes yet so will post them later.

At the end of the day we were two tired gals.

Thanks to all who came and shared the day with us.
