Gingham Gala Suite

OK, I do have several retired butterfly stamps and punches but when I saw the Butterfly Gala bundle that includes a punch in the new Occasions Catalog it was a first choice for me. I love the butterfly images, the punch and the fact that the stamps stamp both the larger and smaller butterflies at the same time and the punch will punch them both out at the same time.  And while I love framelits I do love having a punch for images. It’s quicker and easier when doing classes.

This suite includes not only the stamp and punch but also the 6″ x 6″ package of gingham check Designer Series Paper in 5 colors. There is a white flax ribbon and round and flower shaped adhesive backed sequins in 5 colors.

This is the card we are doing this week in classes which was inspired by demonstrator Linda Dalke. The only change was adding a mat of the same color and embossing it with the Subtle Embossing Folder.

The butterflies were colored by using a sponge dauber and just coloring the centers. The background mat of butterflies takes 8 with one of them cut in half and then adhering with glue. The square main image is popped up with dimensionals.

Did you punch out all the yellow butterflies on the Subtle cardstock? Thanks, Carol

No Carol, the butterflies are punched out of plain cardstock. That gives a contrast to the mat that is embossed with the Subtle embossing folder.
