Wild About You

The card today is the cute giraffe from the Animal Outing stamp set. The inspiration for the card came right from the annual catalog. I changed a few things and this is the card we did in classes this week.

One of the stamps is the sentiment Wild About You  but I really wanted the card to say Wild on the front and About You on the inside. One way to do that is to mask the words so that only the word you want is inked up. But using in a class with several people can become problematic so I simply cut the stamp in two. I do that sometimes with my stamps.

I do love the leaf ribbon which is perfect for this card. I used glue dots on the back of some of the leaves to hold it in place. By not putting a glue dot on every leaf it leaves some of them loose, almost like they are blowing in the wind.

Such a cute card. I’m only second behind Sandra in my love of the giraffe.

  3. This card turned out very cute. It is not a stamp set that I would buy, but once I made the card, I know exactly who I will give this to. Thanks!
