Easy Access Storage & a Card

It seems like I am always reorganizing my stamping supplies. As you buy more things you run out of room or find better ways of storing things. I wanted to share one of my favorite items I use purchased from one of the craft stores. I have two identical units that sit on my stamp counter and they hold my blocks, markers, Blends, reinkers, pens and miscellaneous other items.

Each unit has an upper compartment with smaller spaces which are perfect for holding the markers and Blends. There are two drawers on the bottom. In one of the unit’s drawers I store my blocks and ink pens and in the other unit’s drawers I store all of my reinkers. The shelf in the middle holds extra ink pads including the In Colors pads. They don’t take up much room on the counter therefor these items are always very accessible.

So Saturday night I happened to hear the sound of water running but there was not any water on. It was coming from the main bathroom and sounded like it might be under the house. Of course it was late and the weekend so I went to bed and would think about it “tomorrow”. Sunday my daughter and son-in-law came over. By turning the main water shut-off valve to the house off we determined there was a leak so I filled the bathtubs with water for flushing and got bottled water for brushing teeth, hand washing, etc. Monday morning I called the plumbing company who came and confirmed there is a leak under the foundation. A leak detection specialist is coming Tuesday to “fix” it. Ugh! And in the midst of all of this we are having a family birthday celebration Tuesday night at my house. It should be memorable to say the least.

Jason is my youngest, turning 46. I had seen some of the cards being made with large numbers of candles and decided to do one for him with 46 candles. I chose the Picture Perfect Party DSP for his card because he LOVES donuts. I didn’t have any directions or measurements and just started putting cardstock together. Some of it should have gone the opposite direction but I was working with a bit of a painful neck issue I have and was just trying to get it done. So even though there are a few mistakes I know he will love it.

I even decorated the back panels of the fold out card:
