Animal Friends Birthday

I have to admint when I first saw the BIrthday Delivery stamp set and coodinating product I wasn't too wowed by it. I immediately thought I won't buy this one. But it only took seeing some samples at the last On Stage event and realizing that some of the images in the Birthday Memories DSP could be cut out with the Birthday Friends framelits and I had to have it. This has become one of my favorites in the annual catalog and I have used it to make several cards. This card below has very little stamping as most of it is done with the DSP.

The grass, the animals, and the balloons are all cut from DSP.

This is the inside of the card.

So you see that the only stamping is actually the sentiment. A very easy card if you don't mind doing some fussy cutting. I know some of my friends and stampers don't like to have to cut things out by hand but I find it relaxing, especially if I am watching TV.

Did you watch the eclipse today? I didn't have any of the special glasses to view it outside so I watched live on TV. It was especially cool because my friend, and upline, Catherine Harwood's husband, who I have known for years, is a news reporter for CBS news and he was in Carbondale today reporting on the eclipse. It was amazing to see how dark it got in the locations with the total eclipse. Here in FL we only had about an 80% eclipse and it got just a tad bit darker out. I know because I was fussy cutting some DSP for another project and all of a sudden I couldn't see what I was cutting very well.

I thought you might enjoy some of my adult kids humor today.

My youngest son's dog, Pepper, ready for the eclipse. (No, he didn't take his dog outside)

Hope you had a great day.
