The new Retirement List will be out April 11th and that means the 2015-2017 In Colors will sell out quickly. This year we'll be losing Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaroon, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. If you need additional cardstock or ink refills now is the time to order it. Once the list is out suppies sell out very fast and when it's gone, it's gone.
In addition, ALL patterned papers, washi tapes, project kits, Project Life card collections and anything else that has one or more of these five colors in it will be retiring. Don't wait for these items to hit the retirement list! They'll sell out fast.
Crafting at the Cabin
Twice a year I go to a state park in Georgia for a girls crafting get-away. It's 4 days of working on whatever craft you choose with several breaks for some mahjong games. Once we get there we don't go anywhere until it's time to head for home. Sandra and I worked on cards while Debi, Evelyn, and Gail did digital scrapbooking.

In addition to cards I started a new project, Bible Journaling. I had been interested in quite some time and bought a journaling Bible but kept putting off starting due to worrying about messing it up. I had planned on stamping in the Bible but realized that there would be too much bleed through to the reverse side of the page with the inks. However I did find a way to incorporate my Stampin' Up products. I used our watercolor pencils and a blender pen to color most of the designs and our SU markers in the lighter colors. And I even found a way to use some of the stamps. The acetate sheet included with photopolymer stamps with the image printed on it makes a great tool for tracing the image on the Bible page.

The word "joyfull" was actually a mistake. Just what I was afraid of but thanks to the girls we came up with a fix. I misspelled the word on the page even though on my sample I had it spelled correctly. What to do? In just seconds it was decided to emphasize "full" as in a joy-filled heart.
The word Rainbow is from Over the Rainbow stamp set.
After coloring the letters I added Wink of Stella. It really makes that page pop.
One day we decided to make S'mores. Last year we made them outdoors over a grill but with the bugs and the pollen we opted for indoors.
