One of my favorite new stamp sets just happens to be a Sale-A-Bration set. It's called Hey Chick and by the number of card samples I've seen already online I know it's a favorite of many. Here's a card we made in this weeks classes.
And the inside:
I used the new Hexagons Dynamic Embossing folder for the background. Kinda looks like chicken wire don't you think. These new Dynamic embossing folders create extra thick texture. I also used the new Watercolor Pencils to color my chicken. The set of 13 Stampin' Up colors are perfect to use alone or with a Blender Pen or Aqua Painter. I used Shimmery White paper for the chicken on the front and regular white for the inside. When you are not using Watercolor paper Shimmery White holds up better to the moisture of a Blender Pen or Aqua Painter than regular white cardstock. StazOn black ink was used to stamp the chicken. The inside sentiments are from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set. If you missed ordering the Stitched Framelits during the November special you will have to wait until the new annual catalog comes out in June.
