Here is the last month of this years CD Calendar. I am still working on finishing up my calendars for next year. I had two classes last month but I always make so many of them for family and friends that it takes me awhile to get 'em done.
I had a stamp class this morning and have spent the afternoon and evening off and on putting up and decorating the Christmas tree. It's a lot of work and with back problems I have had to take several breaks. But it's so worth it. I love Christmas and my tree. I have ornaments that were on my tree when I was growing up and even have one ornament that was my great grandparents which makes it well over 100 years old. This is the little German man that we have a photo of my grandmother as a little girl in front of the tree with this ornament on the tree.
My mother made this crocheted angel many years ago. It's always been special but especially this year since it's my first Christmas since she passed.
I have a few of these ornaments that I made when I was a little girl at church. They were made from a tin can lid which was snipped and those pieces twisted and then stickers put on the centers. I doubt anyone would let kids do this now. Seems a bit dangerous.
I still have another whole box of ornaments to put on the tree but as Scarlet said, "Tomorrow is another day".
THanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
The stories behind those special ornaments are a wonderful reminder of what Christmas is really all about. And the calendar is beautiful!
Thank you so much Catherine. I love unwrapping each ornament and remembering the special stories of who gave it to me or where it came from.
