Today's card was inspired by one I saw by Stampin' Up demonstrator Bridget Sandovar. I loved her idea of embossing the watercolor paper. You can see her card at www.krittercrafts.com. This is my version:
The background is watercolor paper embossed with the Spring Flowers Embossing Folder and then painted with an Aqua Painter. The butterflies are die cut with the beautiful Butterfly Framelits. They were so popular that they currently are not available. The good news is that they should be available again in the next week or two. I sponged a little ink on them and then added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. I'm a glitter girl. I use it all the time which means I often sparkle myself. The glitter is much more dazzling on the card than in this photo. The Happy Easter is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, one of my all-time favorites. There is a sentiment for just about anything. The day we made the card in class Barbara Worthington just happened to coordinate with it.
Do you ever look at clothing and automatically use Stampin' Up color names to describe it? I do.

I could hardly watch the last minute of the game. UK won in the last few seconds of the game. They are now down to the Final Four with those games Saturday night. Michigan State is also in the Final Four and if they both win their games they will wind up playing each other for the championship. That will certainly be an interesting game in my son's household since he is a UK fan and my daughter-in-law, Becky, is a Michigan State fan. A house divided ….
