Christmas Treats

Below are some of the treats from my recent Tags, Bags, and Treats class.

Santa coffee Cup

My friend and demonstrator Betty Herring found a cup like this at a craft sale so she ordered some cups from an online restaurant supply company and we made some. I thought it was so cute I included it in my class. I filled mine with a little cello bag of chocolate and stamped a tag from A Banner Christmas stamp set.

Rudolph Treats

Do you recognize the Rudolph shape? Yes, it's the owl punch! I have seen more things done with that punch than any other Stampin' Up! product. This is Hershey nuggets wrapped with Designer Series Paper (1" x 3"). The antlers are a piece of a punched snowflake from a retired Stampin' Up! punch.

It's hard to believe that Christmas is just one week away. Are you ready? Of course I am not! I have wrapping to do and a few stamp projects to finish. But the shopping is all done. I love everything about Christmas, putting up the tree and decorations,  Christmas traditions, and church, and Christmas carols.  My tree is filled with ornaments, so many of them very old.  I have a Santa Claus collection which began about 30 years ago. The one in the middle of the mantle in the photo below is one my mother made for me about 20 years ago. It has the sweetest face and a backpack full of toys that you can't see. And the spider-looking tree top was my parents tree top they bought their first year after marriage and was on the tree every year. It is 72 years old. We always called it the spider and in it's day it was beautiful with shiny tinsel arms and red balls and red cellophane bells on the ends. The bells are long gone and it's not quite as shiny but it is my favorite Christmas treasure.
