I haven't blogged for a few days …I have been having a lot of stamping events and I'm just plum tuckered out. Ha! And I have 4 more this week. But I wanted to share an update to the gift card holder I posted a few days ago. Demonstrator and friend, Betty Herring, revised the measurements on this making it much easier to to put together. It winds up being just a little smaller but still adequate for holding a gift card. Here are the measurements she came up with:
Cut the main piece of cardstock 8-1/2" x 5-1/4". Score on the short side at 1-1/2" and 5-5/8". Score both long sides at 1/2". Cut out the sides on the 1/2" score line down to the score line at the 5-5/8" mark. From this score line cut at an angle down about a half inch. Your cut piece will look like this:
Fold those half-inch flaps on the right end in towards the middle and put sticky strip on them. Then just fold this piece up to the middle section. It creates the pocket for the gift card.
Cut a 2nd piece of cs is 3-3/4" x 3-1/2" and score 3/8" on one long side. It will look like this"
Put a piece of sticky strip under that top flap and attach about 1/4" below the top edge of the main piece. Slide the bottom of this into the pocket. This is what you attach your gift card to and when you open the flap this piece pops up revealing the gift card.
Some lucky person in my family is getting this gift card holder. Thanks Betty for remaking this.
Thaks for stopping by,
