Lovely As a Tree Color Block

tree colorblock

It's hard to believe that Lovely As a Tree stamp set is still in the catalog. Since 2001. For the last few years I have expected Stampin' Up! to retire it and so far it's been safe. I use it a lot and it's probably the most purchased stamp set of my stampers.

This card was inspired by demonstrator Cindy McNeil. My only change was to emboss the cardstock background with the Woodgrain embossing folder. It's an easy card to do. The tree is sponged with ink using sponge daubers.

And the inside …

Fall in Florida

The fall color in the North is beautiful and one of the things I miss. However, we do have our own color changes right here in Florida. The Golden Rain Trees come alive with yellow and orange color this time of year.

Happy Birthday Sofia!

Yesterday my sweet granddaughter turned 11. She is growing up so quickly. She has a passion for dancing and goes to a performing arts school.

I love this card……I still struggle with this kind of layering. Would you be willing to send dimensions?

    Thank you for your time,

Love this Card and the vibrant colors used. That tree is so gorgeous. Haven’t seen anything like that in South Africa. Your granddaughter is gorgeous and I’m sure more beautiful 3 years later😊

Thank you so very much Sheeny. How kind. That was such a favorite stamp set and I was sad to see it retire. I of course think my granddaughter is beautiful. She is now 17. I actually posted a new photo of her about 2 weeks ago. She has grown into a young lady.
