I decorate my mantle every year in October with a Fall theme including some orange mini lights. This year I added a candle that I embellished with some of my Stampin' Up supplies. I used the birch and chevron paper that is part of the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit from the Holiday Catalog. The candle came from the store where everything is $1. What a deal that was. I wrapped the papers from the kit around the middle of the candle and then added leaves that were stamped and cut out using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die and Wonderfall stamp set. I cut out the leaves first and then stamped them. The gold glimmer leaves gives it a very festive look and it will coordinate with the Thankful banner that I made a few weeks ago.
Here in Florida, we are finally able to turn off the air conditioning and open up the windows. My favorite time of year when I can open up the house. It has been so nice the past few days. I hope you are enjoying the cange in temperatures.
