Gingham Garden Suite

The Gingham Garden Suite is one of my favorites in the Stampin’ Up! catalog. I love the colors, the combination of flowers and checks and especially the Washi Tape.  I wasn’t excited about the tape until I actually saw and used it the first time and now have purchased every set. It’s so easy to use because it just tears. A little bit of tape adds a lot of  extra pop to a card. The stamped circle around the greeting punches out with the large circle punch and the greeting inside was inked using markers. Using the clear mount stamp makes getting it centered inside the circle so easily and perfectly. I lined an envelope using the new Envelope Liner Framelet that is in the Holiday Catalog. There are three sizes. One for the standard medium envelope, one for the note card envelope. and the third is for the square mini envelope. The standard size used here uses a 6″ x 6″ piece of Designer Series Paper. I scored it right were the fold of the envelope is and attached it with the Anywhere Glue Stick.

I have a computer program that sends me an email to remind me of people’s birthdays. Last week I got a reminder that today, Aug. 5th, is my dad’s birthday. Of course, I didn’t need a reminder but it made me sad. He would have been 93 today. I think of him every day and miss him. I wish he was here. He loved birthdays. He loved presents. Giving them and getting them. Happy Birthday Dad. xoxo

Hugs,
