Convention Day 3

The third and final day of convention was Saturday and jam-packed with activity.  We had more general sessions and break-away classes, plenty more give-aways and even some final swapping. In the past not everyone would win a prize from the Prize Patrol but this year they arranged it so that by the end of convention everyone had received something free. I won a great Christmas word stamp set and a tag kit however I am not allowed to show it yet. Have to wait until the holiday catalog comes out August 1st. Let me just say that I am very excited over a number of stamp sets and kits and accessories, especially after seeing samples made using them these past few days. There were 25 people who by the end of the day yesterday had not won anything and they received every stamp set in the holiday catalog.  I think I am coming home with about 7 new stamp sets, about 150 swaps, and so many new ideas.

The convention was over about 6PM Saturday and we were fortunate to have gotten complimentary tickets to a concert of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir (360 members) and Orchestra with two amazing artist featured. Lindsey Stirling is a violinist who does contemporary dance while she plays. I couldn’t help but think of people who can’t walk and chew gum at the same time as she is playing and dancing at the same time. She has the 8th most viewed video on You Tube which I watched last night. Over 66 million views.  You can see it here. The other featured artist was Nathan Pacheco. What an amazing voice. These are both young people. Truly talented. And of course everyone knows about the phenomenal Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The auditorium holds 20,000 people – huge! And it was packed.

After returning to the hotel after the concert I had to pack and so I am now writing this post on Sunday afternoon in the Denver airport where I have a two and a half hour layover. We did have one of the best and funniest flight attendants on our flight from SLC to Denver. Very entertaining.

It’s another late night as I didn’t get home until 11:00 so I’m finishing this up and calling it a night.  Glad to be home in my own bed.

Thanks for stopping by
