Travel Day

Today (Wednesday) we were  lucky enough to have good travel. No bad weather or delays in getting to Salt Lake City and we came to appreciate that even more when it was realized that some of my downline were stuck in Charlotte and experiencing very long delays. In fact I don’t think they were going to get in until around 10 PM.  Catherine and I got checked in and had a few hours to relax and iron clothes (yes, I iron everything!) before meeting the rest of our group and friends for dinner at the Garden Restaurant on the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith Building in Temple Square. It has become a tradition for our first night here. Delicious food, great friends, and swapping! I already have some great ideas for future classes.

The Mormon Temple is right next door and the grounds all around it are the most beautiful I have ever seen. Flowers everywhere and large reflecting pools. We saw two different couples having wedding photos taken. It was extremely windy so I  hope their pictures turn out.

It is now 12:30 PM Florida time so I am fading fast …. Check back tomorrow for more convention updates. It officially begins tomorrow (Friday).
