This card was inspired by demonstrator Mary Brown, aka Stamper Camper. You can see her card here. These paper bows are showing up all over the internet on handmade cards and they are so easy to make. Start with the oval punch and punch out two ovals. You really need to soften the paper by running it several times between a bone folder and your thumb. The paper will begin to curl. Once it has softened stick the ends together with a mini glue dot. Some people use a punched oval to make the end pieces which are attached under the bow. I tried that but didn’t much like it so I just cut some short pieces of card stock, cut the tail ends and attached under the bow pieces with mini glue dots. The center is a Dahlia embellishment. The Gumball Green Core’dinations cardstock was embossed with the Chevron Embossing Folder and then sanded with Stampin’ Sanding Block. Core’dinations cardstock’s inside layer is a monochromatic color which is revealed when it is sanded.
