This weeks cards had a bit of a theme ….creating backgrounds. I didn’t start out to do that but the three cards I decided to do all happened to have a different interesting background. This card’s background is simply stamped but it does wind up looking like a beautiful Designer Series Paper.
I did two different versions of the stamped background. This one is stamped only. The one below was stamped and then run through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice embossing folder.
This is the inside of the card. I left it with no greeting so I can add an appropriate greeting as I need a card. I like doing that with at least some of my cards.
Stamps: Secret Garden, Four Frames, Papillon Potpourri
Ink: Primrose Petals, Gumball Green, Early Espresso
Paper: Primrose Petals, White, Early Espresso
Misc: Decorative Label Punch, Dimensionals, Pearls, Stitched Satin Ribbon
Each package of pearls has a few short rows of small pearls that are all connected. These are the ones to use when adding them to the butterfly. Just cut through the string where you can get three of them. They all come off the paper together and are so much easier to work with.

I decided to stay home and not go see the fireworks but there was someone in the neighborhood that was setting them off and I could see them right outside my back sliding glass doors. They were the good ones too that explode into all different cascading colors. It felt like my own private show. Hoping you had a good holiday.
Thanks for stopping by,
