Stippled Blossoms

Stippled Blossoms
This card is one that will be made in class this week.  It would be a beautiful Mother’s Day card and that will be here before we know it. I used the lace tape from the Spring catalog on the edge. It is a very sturdy self-adhesive tape that can be reused many times if you are sponging over it as I did on this card.  It can also be used as is on a card.  Stippled Blossom is a Two Step Stampin’ set (say that 3 times fast!).  This means there are coordinating images, one a bold stamp, and the other a line image stamp that is stamped over the bold image in a coordinating ink.  And with Stampin’ Up!’s clear mount stamps it is so easy to line them up. The result is a watercolor look without doing the water-coloring.

Stamps: Stippled Blossom

Ink: Baja Breeze, Night of Navy, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Lucky Limeade

Paper: White, Night of Navy

Misc: Lace Tape, Stampin’ Sponge, Dimensionals, Pearls

 Stippled Blossoms Stamp Set

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.  My family and I celebrated earlier in the week because my children both had to work Sunday.  My daughter, Lynn Ann, is a nurse and my son, Jason, is a restaurant manager. We actually did a last minute get-together with each of us bringing to the table what we happened to have on hand at home.  It was a fabulous meal and we had a great time.  My 15 year old grandson brought his friend so I quickly filled plastic eggs with candy and money and we had an egg hunt.  They had fun and each went home with a pocket full of money.  It turned out to be a blessing that we did celebrate early because I wound up with a sore throat Friday night and in urgent care Easter morning.  Thankfully, with the help of  antibiotics, I’m much improved.

Wishing you all good health.
