Tomorrow’s the Big Day!

After months of planning the day is almost here for the first Stamp & Scrap Creative Escape. My friend and fellow demonstrator, Sandy Mitchell, and I are so excited to have 41 people signed up to attend.

While I can’t show any photos yet (don’t want to spoil the surprises) here are a couple I can show.

Product of the Week – Merry Christmas to All

Christmas is just around the corner and evident in every store you go into lately. It won’t be long before the radio stations are playing carols. And for those of us who make cards and paper craft it’s time to be working on our Christmas cards and scrapbooks. I chose the Merry Christmas to All bundle as my Product of the Week because of the many options for sentiments and also for the thinlit dies which include the most beautifuly scripted holiday words.

Christmas is just 78 days away.

Frosted Floral Card

I have been super busy with prepping for our all day retreat which is less than 2 weeks away. So busy that I just realized I never shared the card I said I would last week using the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love the color combination of Rich Razzleberry and Soft Sea Foam. The DSP has so many different colors in it that when I realized I didn’t have enough Razzleberry cardstock for all of my classes I easily substituted Blackberry Bliss which looked just as good together.

I used the dies from Stitched Labels Framelits and Stitched Framelits for the sentiment focal point of the card with a few leaves punched out with the leaf punch.

Speaking of punches, I was working on a retreat project yesterday and punched out almost 1000 pieces. Can’t share yet what. It needs to be a surprise.

CD Calendar – October 2018

October already! Yikes, and it’s still so very hot here in Florida. Hopefully this month will bring some cooler temperatures.

I do have classes coming for next year’s calendar. November 2nd at 9:30 AM and again November 3rd at 1:00 PM. Let me know if you are interested. It is $16 for one calendar and $6 for each additional calendar. Space is limited so reserve your space now.

Product of the Week

For this week I selected a package of designer series paper that is absolutely beautiful. The photo in the catalog can not begin to show how elegant and shimmery it truly is.

It is part of the Frosted Floral Suite which also includes a stamp set, framelits, ribbon and embellishments. Because I just cannot buy everything, this is one suite where I made the decision to only purchase the designer series paper and use it with other product that I already owned. You’ll have to check back later in the week to see the card that I made with the paper.

This time of year my schedule fills up with events with adding additional holiday classes. I do need registration and pre-payment for classes to be sure I have enough supplies and kits ready.

All classes include coordinating envelopes for cards and product discounts on orders placed that day. Class sizes are limited so sign up now to reserve your spot.

Wild About You

The card today is the cute giraffe from the Animal Outing stamp set. The inspiration for the card came right from the annual catalog. I changed a few things and this is the card we did in classes this week.

One of the stamps is the sentiment Wild About You but I really wanted the card to say Wild on the front and About You on the inside. One way to do that is to mask the words so that only the word you want is inked up. But using in a class with several people can become problematic so I simply cut the stamp in two. I do that sometimes with my stamps.

I do love the leaf ribbon which is perfect for this card. I used glue dots on the back of some of the leaves to hold it in place. By not putting a glue dot on every leaf it leaves some of them loose, almost like they are blowing in the wind.
