We had a few problems getting to Christmas but once we did oh what fun! My son Jeff and his family live in Kentucky and were driving down Christmas day. Since it’s a long trip we planned our celebration for the day after Christmas. They expected to get here sometime around midnight but at 9:30 PM Jeff called saying they had car trouble. Broken down on the side of the road. After a call to AAA and a two hour wait they were towed to the nearest town where they got a hotel. Thankfully it was fixed early, not too serious, and they were back on the road. Here are some very candid photos of our Christmas.
Ugly sweaters were certainly big this year and we decided early to do sweaters or shirts. It didn’t take long for me to change from my sweater into a shirt. It wasn’t cold enough for sweaters!
Lynn Ann made her own shirt and it definitely was the best. There is a lot of background chatter going on here but I wanted to show how cute her shirt really was. She had a Christmas stocking with every family members name on top.
This was a Christmas filled with sock gifts. Everyone received several pairs including these hilarious socks.
I had seen a similar sign to this one months ago and thought it would be a fun game to do however there were no directions. It seemed simple enough so I told everyone to bring 2 wrapped $5 gifts. Well, it was fun indeed. And something even the youngest could do.
Jeff and his family went home yesterday and the house is once again pretty quiet. Love having everyone here and together but it’s always nice to get back to your normal routine. Not sure when I will put away the decorations and take the trees down. I’m still enjoying them.
Hugs and Blessings
