A Hole in The Floor!

An update on the water leak …. I had two men here for over 4 hours from the plumbing company yesterday to locate and repair the pipe with the leak. It was a very interesting process to observe. It took about an hour to pinpoint the exact spot and I’m amazed they can even do this. With specialized equipment paired with actually down with ear to the floor they finally started jack hammering a hole in the tile floor and sure enough they had the right spot.

That tiny hole at the top of the pipe was losing about 2 gallons of water per minute. That water bill’s going to be high!

After replacing the bad pipe they poured cement into the hole and I had water back about an hour before our family birthday dinner. Next task is to pick out new flooring and have it put down.

Jason loved the card I made with the 46 candles. Said it was the best card he had ever received. Made this mother happy.

I’m trying to stay awake to watch the Olympics but with very little sleep last night worrying about an MRI this morning and then leaving for Orlando at 5:30 AM for it (and a xanax because I was anxious about it) I am one sleepy gal. I worried because when you have an MRI of your neck you cannot swallow. So my imagination went wild and I just knew I wouldn’t be able to swallow for 20-30 minutes and I would have saliva running out of my mouth. Ha! It was the easiest one ever. There were only 4 scans and I was allowed to swallow in between them. They ranged from 1 minute to 3-1/2 minutes. This should be a lesson to me to not worry until you know exactly what you’re facing. Ya, sure!

Hope you have had a great Valentine’s day, whether with a spouse, significant other, or even a family member or friend. My daughter drove me to Orlando this morning and spending time with her is always love filled.

Wow! Lots of ‘oh no’ and ‘yeah’ and ‘awwww’ comments from my mouth while reading your post. So glad the MRI went ok. Those things are tough…I usually get a horrible itch somewhere on whatever is being scanned!!

That card was great and I know he will have that one forever!

I’m pretty sure if you can document the leak with the city, they will adjust your bill accordingly. Worth a try!

Thanks Connie. I was aware that they will adjust the bill as long as you have documentation of the repair.
